American Idol Hopeful Antonella Barba Topless Photos Least of Problems
She is known by some idol watchers as the Jersey girl. Antonella Barba raised eyebrows and some blood pressure when some proactive photos of the attractive American idol hopeful emerged and were posted online by several blogs. Many speculated that she might be unceremoniously dumped by idol. She hasn't been yet, but she has to be holding her breath that voters won't take care of that tonight.
Gannett reports that Barba said she was taking a chance by singing the Aerosmith hit, 'Don't Want To Miss A Thing', during Wednesday night's American Idol Top 12 Girls Perform. The speculation is that the decision may come back to haunt the 20-year-old. Performing fifth in the competition, the 2004 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School appeared nervous and a little unsure of herself.
Finishing her song, Barba stood center stage, awaiting the verdict from judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. The best that Paula Abdul could say was that the performance was "not bad," reports the Associated Press. Another judge, Randy Jackson, described her singing as "bland.''
But the harshest criticism came from Simon Cowell, who said Barba's performance seriously hurt her chances of making it into the next round.
I'm guessing the photos here will help her make it through, for at least one more round.
