American Idol Announces Performing Arts Camp for Teens
American Idol is now offering a performing arts summer camp for kids.
Series creator 19 Entertainment and co-producer FremantleMedia announced the camp today for kids ages 12 to 15.
The camp's limited enrollment isn't audition-based, but a statement says would-be campers should demonstrate a passion for the arts and desire to perform. Four sessions described as "noncompetitive" are planned this summer for July and August. Faculty will include professional artists, former "American Idol" contestants and others in the entertainment industry.
Cost for the camp in Northfield, Massachusetts, is 29-hundred dollars per student for ten days and includes room, board, classes and souvenirs.
