American Idol Results - Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson Eliminated

On the American Idol top six results show, Ryan Seacrest announced "Once again we will be stretching this show into a full hour, and I promise no filler." When Seacrest was talking to the judges, Simon Cowell kept rubbing the back of Paula Abdul's neck. Abdul snapped at Cowell, "I'm not your puppet," and Seacrest then quipped "We've seen his puppet, you're much prettier."

In a filler segment, Ryan Seacrest interviewed people at the Farmer's Market about the performances of the Idol finalists. In even more filler, a recap was played of highlights from last week's "Idol Gives Back" show. Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, and Taylor Hicks all appeared in taped segments to urge viewers to donate to "Idol Gives Back." Special guest star Robin Thicke sang "Lost Without You."

For the Ford music video, the American Idol finalists sang "Paint It Black." After the music video, Seacrest asked Melinda Doolittle, Phil Stacey, and Lakisha Jones to come to center stage. Seacrest told Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones that they were safe and announced that Phil Stacey would be leaving tonight. Phil Stacey gave a farewell performance of "Blaze of Glory."

After the American Idol Challenge question, Seacrest asked Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis, and Chris Richardson to stand up. Seacrest then told Jordin Sparks that he messed with her so much last week that he wasn't going to do it to her this week. Seacrest told Jordin Sparks to sit down that she was safe.

Before Seacrest announced the results, special guest star Jon Bon Jovi sang "You Want To Make A Memory." Seacrest asked Jon Bon Jovi if he wanted to call it between if Blake Lewis or Chris Richardson would be eliminated, and Bon Jovi said "Not on your life, buddy." As Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson stood on stage waiting to hear the results, they professed to being best friends. Seacrest announced that after 135 million votes Chris Richardson was going home. Chris Richardson gave a farewell performance of "Wanted Dead Or Alive."
