American Idol: Jordin, Blake or Melinda, Who's Next?
American Idol is down to the last three contestants and it's getting really hard to predict who among Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis and Melinda Doolittle will be voted out this week.
I recorded last week's episode and watched again over the weekend and I really can't understand why the general consensus is on Blake Lewis being voted out this week.
62% of the voters in our American Idol elimination poll believe Blake will be voted off and his elimination odds, currently sitting at -300, also suggest that the forecast may be right.
Mind, I don't necessarily like Blake but he is the only one among the three remaining Idols who gives an original twist to his renditions. May not be sufficient to keep him in the race but I think this aspect should be kept into consideration when evaluating his chances to make it to the final.
On the two girls I'd still choose Melinda Doolittle over Jordin Sparks. Bear in mind I still think LaKisha was 100 times better than those two when she was in her right mood. Jordin is good but she's still very young. You can tell from her voice, from the difficulties she had with her second rendition last week.
Melinda is technically perfect but adds little to nothing to her performances, a perfect voice with no soul. Melinda's odds to be voted out are currently sitting at +235.
If I had to make the choice based on last week's performances I'd say Jordin would be voted out. Obviously my choice is the least likely, at least according to her Jordin's elimination odds currently sitting at +825.
I guess we'll have to wait little over 24 hours to hear them sing and decide who's going home this week. General consensus says Blake Lewis, I say Jordin Sparks.
